Violations of system or network security are strictly prohibited, and may result in criminal and civil liability. TnC Domain Management LLC d.b.a. CopaseticNet investigates all incidents involving such violations and will cooperate with law enforcement if a criminal violation is suspected.

Examples of system or network security violations include, without limitation, the following:

  • Introduction of malicious programs into the network or server (example: viruses, worms, Trojan Horses and other executables intended to inflict harm).
  • Effecting security breaches or disruptions of Internet communication and/or connectivity. Security breaches include, but are not limited to, accessing data of which the Customer is not an intended recipient or logging into a server or account that the Customer is not expressly authorized to access. For purposes of this section, "disruption" includes, but is not limited to port scans, flood pings, email-bombing, packet spoofing, IP spoofing and forged routing information.
  • Executing any form of network activity that will intercept data not intended for the Customer's account.
    Circumventing user authentication or security of any account.
    Interfering with or denying service to any user other than the Customer's host (example: denial of service attack or distributed denial of service attack).
  • Use of an account to gain passwords, encryption codes, or other security information of the provider or other sites on any computer network
  • Storage of these materials but not limited to Stolen Software, music, pornography, games, movies (Warez, mp3, VCD etc.. )

Violators of the policy are responsible, without limitations, for the cost of labor to correct all damage done to the operation of the network and business operations supported by the network. Such labor is categorized as emergency security breach recovery and is currently charged at $195 USD per hour required. Network interference by any Customers that may cause or is currently causing network interference with another Customer will be disconnected immediately. No service credits will be issued to Customers disconnected for network violations.

The customer is responsible for all denial of service attacks they may receive and must try their best to prevent such occurrences. If a customer is found to be receiving denial of service attacks frequently their account may be suspended or canceled at the discretion of TnC Domain Management LLC d.b.a. CopaseticNet.

The customer shall not allow unauthorized connections to the provider's network, or resell any of the provider's services.

  » Email Policies  
 

Provider reserves the right to move, delete, or reduce the Customer's mailbox if said mailbox has reached a size that is adversely affecting system performance. Provider is the sole judge of what is adverse.
Unsolicited commercial advertisements (SPAM) are not allowed in e-mail, and will likely result in account suspension or cancellation.

  » Internet Etiquette
 

Each Customer is expected to execute reasonable Internet etiquette (Netiquette).

  • You may not spam IRC servers / channels.
  • You may not take over Channels
  • You may not threaten channel owners or Server Operators
  • The Customer will comply with the rules appropriate to any network which TnC Domain management LLC d..b.a CopaseticNet may provide access to.
  » Your Shell Account

TnC Domain management d.b.a. CopaseticNet reserves the right to direct a customer to remove any program, process, or technique from the server which causes excessive utilization of the company's bandwidth or resources, or which the provider deems offensive for any reason in company's sole discretion. Company also reserves the right to inspect all files placed on our servers at any time without prior notice to the customer.

The customer understands, that account sharing is grounds for termination. The shell accounts are indented to be single-user accounts, and there will be no exceptions.

Programs disallowed
Usage of any of these programs but not limited to, may result in your account being locked

  • ShoutCast Servers other Streaming Media
  • XDCC bots
  • IRCDs on a non IRCD account
  • Game/MUD servers
  • eMech bots (unless you hold a special authorization)
  • Any kind of scanning / cracking / flooding / nuking utility
  • Any program that consumes large amounts of bandwidth, CPU and/or memory

Connecting to IRC
Any of the following actions but not limited to, may result in your account being locked

  • Connecting any background process to IRC more than twice, this means you cannot add more than 2 users to any BNC.
  • Cloning connections. The servers offer a variety of vhosts, there is not excuse for the using the same vhost on more than one process. If you purchased a Custom Vhost you may use it twice per login.
  • You must use ports above 10000 for all your processes, unless you have an IRCD account with a private IP address.
  • You may not connect bots to IRC servers that do not allow them.

Background Processes

  • You may not at any time run more background processes than you paid for (A screened BitchX session is considered a background process)
  • Zombie processes are automatically killed without notice.
